This document explains how Homeowner Companion handles your information. It is written in plain English. If something is unclear, please write to us.
Everything you enter into Homeowner Companion is stored only on your device. The app's owner, House & Home Enterprises LLC, does not receive, store, see, or have any access to your information. There is no central server. We do not sell, share, or analyze your information, because we never have it.
You decide what to enter. The app provides structured forms for information about your home, including:
You may also attach documents (photos, receipts, manuals, warranties) to items within the app. These attachments are also stored only on your device.
All information you enter is stored locally on the device where you installed the app. It is protected by:
The app does not synchronize your information to any cloud service operated by us. If you back up your device using a service you control (iCloud, Google Drive, a personal computer), your app data may be included in that backup according to your settings — this is between you and that service.
Because the app does not transmit your information, we do not receive it. We do not maintain any user database, analytics platform, or central system that holds information you've entered.
The only situations where we receive information are:
Your passcode is set on first launch and is required every time the app opens. We do not have it, and we cannot reset it. If you lose your passcode and you have not configured a device-level recovery method (such as biometric unlock), the information stored in the app cannot be recovered by anyone.

This app is intended for adults managing a home. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
When you submit an inquiry through the app, the information you've entered in the inquiry form is placed into an email draft in your own email app. You decide whether to send it. If you send it, the email goes to inquiries@homeownercompanion.app. We use the information solely to respond to you or to connect you with a professional you've asked us to refer you to (for example, a real estate agent, mortgage lender, or insurance provider).
We do not sell your inquiry information. We do not share it with anyone other than the professional you've asked us to connect you with, and only to the extent necessary to make that connection.
The current version of the app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. If we ever add anonymous usage analytics (for example, to understand which features are used most), we will update this policy and clearly state what is collected and why — and the data will never include the contents you've entered.
When you install the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those stores collect information related to your account, device, and download per their own privacy policies. We do not have access to your store account information beyond what Apple or Google publishes in aggregate (such as anonymous download counts).
If we update this policy, we will note the change here with an updated date. Significant changes will also be communicated through the app or by a notice on this website. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
